§ 94.36. PERMIT REQUIRED.

  • (A) Before any excavating, trenching, digging, boring work is performed in or under a public right- of-way in the city, the person(s) responsible for performing said work shall:
    (1) Notify the Utility Superintendent’s office of any work to be done;
    (2) Obtain all bonds, permits and fees as required by city ordinance; and
    (3) Submit plans showing the proposed location of the excavation which clearly outlines the scope of work to be performed and shows any public street, alley, sidewalk, curb, sewer or water lines/mains or any other public right-of-way utility or lines that may be disturbed, damaged, altered or otherwise affected by the proposed excavation.
    (B) No particular qualifications shall be required of any person to obtain an excavating permit, but all such work shall conform to the provisions of this subchapter.
